Welcome to BookAMentor (“the Platform”), operated by Avenue Impact (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and related services (“Services”). By accessing or using BookAMentor, you agree to these Terms.
- Mentor – a verified professional offering mentoring, coaching, or advisory sessions on the Platform.
- Mentee or User – a registered individual who books sessions with Mentors for guidance or training.
- Session – any one-to-one meeting, live class, or training between a Mentor and a Mentee.
- Platform Wallet – a digital wallet used to hold funds from bookings before release to Mentors.
- Commission – a 20% service fee deducted from each completed transaction.
- Payment Processor – Stripe, Flutterwave, or other authorized payment partners.
- Be at least 18 years old (or of legal age in your country).
- Provide accurate, complete registration information.
- Use the Platform only for lawful, professional purposes.
- Agree to comply with all relevant financial, tax, and data protection laws.
- Mentors must complete profile setup, including identity verification and LinkedIn profile validation.
- Our support team may conduct background or experience checks before account approval.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- BookAMentor reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations or fraudulent activity.
- Mentees can browse and book Mentors based on skills, discipline, availability, and pricing.
- Payment must be made in full at the time of booking via our secure payment gateway.
- Funds are held in the Platform Wallet until the Session is completed and feedback is provided.
- BookAMentor deducts a 20% commission from the Mentor’s fee.
- Mentors can request payout to their linked Stripe or Flutterwave account.
- Stripe Processing Fees: UK Cards 1.5% + £0.20, EEA Cards 2.5% + £0.20, International Cards 3.25% + £0.20, 2% currency conversion fee.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session to qualify for a refund.
- If a Mentor fails to attend a confirmed session, the Mentee is entitled to a full refund.
- Refunds for dissatisfaction or incomplete sessions are handled on a case-by-case basis.
- BookAMentor reserves the right to withhold funds until disputes are resolved.
- Provide mentoring services professionally and ethically.
- Maintain updated availability, pricing, and expertise information.
- Use approved video links (Zoom, Google Meet, or in-app call).
- Avoid sharing personal contact details or conducting sessions outside the Platform.
- Comply with GDPR and data protection laws.
- Provide accurate information during booking.
- Attend sessions on time and respect Mentor availability.
- Avoid recording or redistributing session content without consent.
- Leave constructive feedback after each session.
- Mentors earn 80% of the booking fee (after platform commission).
- Mentors may request payouts from their Wallet after session completion and feedback approval.
- BookAMentor processes payout requests within 5–7 business days.
- Mentors are responsible for paying applicable taxes on their income.
- Report disputes via support@bookamentor.com.
- Both parties must cooperate in good faith to resolve any issue.
- If unresolved, BookAMentor’s decision is final regarding refunds and payouts.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
